The Klein Law Firm announces that a class action complaint has been filed on behalf of shareholders of Edison International (NYSE: EIX) who purchased shares between February 23, 2016 and November 12, 2018. The action, which was filed in the United States District Court for the Central District of California, alleges that the Company violated federal securities laws.
In particular, the Edison lawsuit alleges that (i) the Company failed to maintain electricity transmission and distribution networks in compliance with safety requirements and regulations promulgated under state law; (ii) consequently, the Company was in violation of state law and regulations; (iii) the Company’s noncompliant electricity networks created a significantly heightened risk of wildfires in California; and (iv) as a result, the Company’s public statements were materially false and misleading at all relevant times.
