The Klein Law Firm announces that a class action complaint has been filed on behalf of shareholders of Fulcrum Therapeutics, Inc. (NasdaqGM: FULC) who purchased securities between March 3, 2022 and March 8, 2023. The action, which was filed in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, alleges that the Company violated federal securities laws.
In particular, the Fulcrum lawsuit alleges that (i) the preclinical data submitted in support of FTX-6058 (an investigational oral fetal hemoglobin inducer for the treatment of sickle cell disease and other hemoglobinopathies) showed safety concerns regarding potential hematological malignancies; (ii) the foregoing safety concerns increased the likelihood that the FDA would place a clinical hold on preclinical studies of FTX-6058; (iii) accordingly, the Company had overstated FTX-6058’s clinical and/or commercial prospects; and (iv) as a result, the Company’s public statements were materially false and misleading at all relevant times.
Shareholders have until June 27, 2023 to petition the court for lead plaintiff status. Your ability to share in any recovery does not require that you serve as lead plaintiff. You may choose to be an absent class member.
