The Klein Law Firm announces that a class action complaint has been filed on behalf of shareholders of Sundial Growers Inc. (NASDAQ: SNDL) who purchased shares pursuant and/or traceable to the registration statement issued in connection with Sundial’s August 1, 2019 initial public stock offering. The action, which was filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, alleges that the Company violated federal securities laws.
In particular, the Sundial lawsuit alleges that (1) Sundial failed to supply saleable cannabis in line with contractual obligations to Zenabis Global Inc.; (2) due to material quality issues, Zenabis had to return or reject a total of 554 kg of cannabis to Sundial, valued at approximately U.S. $1.9 million (C$2.5 million); and (3) as a result, defendants’ statements about Sundial’s business, operations, and prospects were materially false and misleading and/or lacked a reasonable basis at all relevant times.
Shareholders have until November 25, 2019 to petition the court for lead plaintiff status. Your ability to share in any recovery does not require that you serve as lead plaintiff. You may choose to be an absent class member.
